Recycling centres

Recycling centres, also known as dumps or tips, are run by Essex County Council.

There are 2 recycling centres in the Epping Forest district:

1. Chigwell recycling centre, Luxborough Lane, Chigwell, Essex, IG7 5AA
2. Waltham Abbey recycling centre, Brooker Road, Waltham Abbey, Essex, EN9 1JU

Booking system planned for Essex recycling centres

From Monday 13 March a booking system will be trialled for all vehicles at Essex recycling centres.

Recycling banks

Recycling banks are provided across the district for you to take recyclable materials.

• Buckhurst Hill – Queens Road car park (lower)
• Chigwell – Limes Farm (opp Londis)
• Epping – Hemnall Street
• Loughton – Oakwood Hill
• Loughton – Traps Hill
• Loughton – Loughton Way / Valley Hill
• North Weald – Hurricane Way
• Ongar – Bansons Lane
• Roydon – Beaumont Road car park
• Waltham Abbey – Quaker Lane car park
