Help us reduce the number of clear plastic sacks used for recycling

We’re delighted residents are recycling so much and look forward to seeing recycling increase even more across the district, but we need to ensure that the recycling sacks provided are being used efficiently, minimising both cost and waste.

You can help by doing the following:

• Sacks can be picked up free from across the Epping Forest district. If you can’t get any recycling sacks, your recycling (not glass) can be placed in any clear bag
• You will get 1 roll per visit
• Fill your clear sack with accepted loose household recycling. Your sacks will not be taken if they contain any non-recyclable materials and will be marked as contaminated. Find out what is acceptable here
• Use all the space within the sacks by flattening boxes, rinse tins, cans and plastic bottles
• Sacks are only to be used for your recycling collection and not for any other purpose
