There is now less than 1 week to go until the new blue-lidded recycling bins start being rolled out across the district.
Increased recycling rates and reduced cost of waste disposal are the benefits of the district-wide introduction of blue-lidded bins for recycling this summer.
Cabinet approved and agreed discontinuing the use of single use clear plastic recycling sacks and blue boxes for glass, and issue a 240-litre blue lidded standard wheeled bin for recycling.
