Recycling and rubbish
Recycling Bin trial
The council is looking for volunteers (no one is required to have a recycling wheeled bin at this stage) to use a Recycling Blue lidded bin instead of plastic sacks within the Theydon Bois area.
The materials collected will be exactly the same as with the clear recycling sacks but with the addition of glass bottles.
Your collection day for your recycling will not change. Please leave your recycling bin on the boundary of your property on your scheduled collection day.
The advantages to a wheeled bin are:
- No need to collect plastic sacks from outlets
- No need to use blue box, combined collection of recycling and glass
- Keep your recycling neat and tidy
- Helping the environment by reducing the use of plastics
- You keep the Recycling Blue lidded bin to use even after the trial
The list of roads within the trial area are shown below. Unfortunately, at this present time if your road is not on the list you cannot apply for a Recycling Blue lidded bin.

- Coppice Row
- Dukes Avenue
- Morgan Crescent
